The beginning of a new future
Journal 4
August 15, 2016 marked my first and last day of high school. I was excited to know that I was finally a senior. I was anxiously nerves because of the classes that I had got. They looked hard for me since I am not that intelligent. I took a Spanish AP class which for me is not difficult since I already know Spanish. However, writing in Spanish is where I have a hard time. Senior year has gone good so far and marks the beginning of a new future. . I finished my classes last year so this year I am currently on pace.
I am excited about the classes I am taking now because they are challenging me to work harder. One class that I am currently on pace and excited about is my career and education class. This class is about learning how to be a teacher and learning the system of education. The fact that I am going to be working with young kids really motivates me to try to be a teacher. However, some classes that will give me a challenging time will be chemistry and economics. Chemistry would be a challenge for me because I am not a big fan of science. Economics would be hard for me because I am not as good with money and money decisions. My
Senior year I want to make count and try to have fun, but also finish all my classes. Over the past years I passed all my classes, but I felt like I did not enjoy them. It felt like if it was just do work and work and try to finish my classes, but with no fun. However, this year I want that to change and get more involved in activities and in clubs. I want to leave Lindsay High School with memories and one day come back here to teach.
My goals for this year is to finish my classes and to graduate with honors and to know what university I want to apply to. My future goals are to be a special education teacher. However, my tentative plans are to apply for financial aid which would help me go to COS for two years and get transferred to Fresno State. However, my mind has not been made up. I need to put my head in the game and finish all I need to do in order to accomplish my goals.

It's now my senior year and it’s almost over. I am definitely nervous about graduation and I cannot believe that I am almost going to be considered an adult. The fact that I am almost out of high school frightens me. I do not want to have to move out from my parents home. I am nervous that I will not pass my classes and not get a GPA of a 3.5. Now I understand when I was a freshman and the upper classmen would say “Your four years in high school will go by fast”. It feels just like yesterday when I was a freshman trying to find my classes.
The preparation that I have took so far for post-graduation is I started to look at different options. I started to look at different colleges and visit their campuses to see if I would like to attend that college. I started to prepare myself with different types of resources for my college opportunities. I wanted to get different visuals of all my opportunities in the United States.
Overall, I still have things to do, I need to finish my classes and to get a better GPA. For example, some things I need to finish in order to graduate are my chemistry class and English class. . For my chemistry class am afraid I will not pass because it requires me to memorize things. Therefore, I need to finish some of my requirements for graduation such as my community hours. One of the reasons I want a GPA of a 3.5 is so that I will be able to get my Spanish honors society cord. I am looking forward to graduating and seeing my parents happy and proud of me.
I look back at my previous years and I am grateful for all the teachers that helped me and made it possible for me to pass my classes. I thank all my teachers that motivated me to keep on going in school and to never give up on my dreams. I am happy that I listened to them and I started to pay more attention, and to learn something for once. Overall, I am happy and excited to start a new chapter in my life. I am happy that I am leaving Lindsay high school with memories that will be marked for life. "Once a cardinal always a cardinal."

As graduation day is getting closer the more nervous I am becoming . I am nervous, but excited to share my experience I have had at Lindsay High School. I am excited to do my exit interview. Something that was hard for me in this semester was finishing my math class on time because this was my last opportunity to take the class. It was not easy, but no one said it was going to be easy.
I am proud to say I finished my math class two weeks early.
I had a great teacher to teach me everything that I needed to know. Something else that was difficult for me was trying to catch up and finish my classes for this semester. I went to Mexico which made it hard for me to catch up. The easiest thing I had to do was to finish my electives classes because I really enjoyed them and I learned a lot from them. My electives were food and nutrition, and career and education.I learned how to cook and experienced how to become a teacher in the future.
Finishing this semester feels good, but at the same time it feels scary because this is it; there is no going back. We either finish strong or we don’t. I am currently in my last semester and then, graduation! .
However, I am excited to start the next chapter in my life. I am ready and happy for whatever the future holds for me. I am happy with what I have done here at Lindsay High School and I leave with many memories.
